With enough clothes on to survive the second ice age,
the cold meant nothing.
The snowing had ceased and the clouds then sprinkled a
light rain onto my face. I basked in the serenity and
quiet of the moment. All was silent, save for a few cars
passing on the frozen street.
Though I was resting in what was once a field, there
were no animals to be seen or heard. In fact, other than
me and the few brave enough to dare driving, there was
no life at all.
Alone, the falling darkness eased me back into my mind.
